2004 Casa Freschi La Signora

La Signora is a nebbiolo based wine produced from our Langhorne Creek vineyard. It is elegant and enchanting with a beguiling perfume and silky texture that sits on a bed of beautifully fine savoury tannins. Now released four years after harvest, its purity, balance and structure make it a perfect accompaniment to good food, and enables it to reward long term cellaring.

Nebbiolo, said to be the king of all Italian varieties, originates from the Piedmont region of North-West Italy. It is arguably the most challenging and rewarding grape variety that exists. Even with the highest standards of winegrowing and winemaking, great nebbiolo wines can only be produced from great sites.

2005 Casa Freschi Profondo

Profondo is a wonderfully enticing, complex and tightly structured wine with the ability to age beautifully over many years. Produced solely from the Langhorne Creek vineyards' oldest plantings (1972), it is bottled only in years that are considered an exceptional expression of the vineyard. Its purity, depth and structure make it a perfect accompaniment to good food, and enables it to reward long term cellaring.
